Mayor Duterte Hinted to Run for President as “Destiny” Awaits His Presidency (Video)

“I have enough accolades to last me a lifetime. But if God puts me there and you put me there, it’s destiny,” these were the words released by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte as he hinted that he will run for President of the Republic of the Philippines.

The statement of the tough-talking Davao City Mayor was released during a speech released at Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano’s post-birthday celebration at the residence of the senator in Taguig City.

It was already a month after the deadline for filing of candidacy for the national elections next year but the supporters of Mayor Duterte continue to try and convince him to run for President. Although Mayor Duterte denies that he will run for President but keeps on revealing his platform and solutions to the country’s problems.

During the birthday celebration of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, one of the Vice Presidential candidate who believes Mayor Duterte will change his mind, the senator welcomed his guests composed of top businessmen, former military officers and various well-known politicians in the Philippines.

According to Mayor Duterte he was supporting the vice presidential bid of Sen. Cayetano, and asserted that what he would want to change is the attitude of some Filipinos who had lost the fear of being sanctioned. Mayor Duterte also noted that his decision to run for President was just 10 percent compared to the 90 percent decision which belongs to God.

  2. Duterte said he has no ambition for presidency. If Duterte will run this is because his heart is bleeding for the oppressed. And I do believe that he would run. He already laid his platform. If this is a chess game Duterte is already checked mate by the filipino people. And with Cayetano they will be a hell of a tandem to beat.

  3. just because he’s afraid doesn’t mean he’s not gonna go for it! c’mon guys, the man has a reputation for being a bad(removed) leader! ‘ya think these petty worries will stop him from running? he’s thinking about the consequences just like a responsible human being but being a brave soul that he is, i’m most definitely sure he will run.
