San Beda Defeats Letran 68-61 Extends NCAA Title Series to Game Three

The reigning NCAA champion San Beda Red Lions defeated the Letran Knights during the game 2 of the Season 91 finals series with the final score of 68-61 and extends the best-of-three championship series to Game 3. The Game 2 victory of the Red Lions keeps their hopes of conquering the NCAA with sixth consecutive title.

San Beda Red Lions got a superb performance from Jayvee Mocon who scored all but two of his 13 points in the second half and added with eight rebounds and two block shots.

Coach Jamke Jarin was so thankful with his wards who managed to extend the series which as witnessed by more than 17,588 spectators at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Aside from Jayvee Mocon’s points and all-around performance, the Red Lions was led by Ola Adeogun who scored with 14 markers, eight boards and three assists while graduating forward Art dela Cruz extended his stay in the collegiate career for one day with 12 points, and six rebounds. Baser Amer also played a magnificent game with nine points, 11 rebounds, and four assists in the win.

Letran’s Mark Cuz led the Knights with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists while Baser Amer contributed with 9 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
