Amy Vachal, the Filipino-American contestant of “The Voice” USA has advanced to the Knockout Rounds of the competition. The Fil-Am singer won the Battle Rounds of the competition after her own rendition of Bee Gees hit “To Love Somebody.”
Pharrell Williams, the coach of Amy Vachal chose her over her rivals Jubal and Amanda during the Battle Rounds of The Voice USA. The world-renowned singer Pharrell Willams praised the Fil-Am singer for her “delicate approach to songs.”
One of the show’s judges, Gwen Stefani on her part said that Amy Vachal performance was “so beautiful” and even describe Amy as a star, and once again compared her to Pocahontas.
Judge Adam Levine on his part said that Amy Vachal was “shining up there on (her) own,” while judge Blake Shelton noted that it still hurts that Vachal didn’t pick him during the blind auditions of The Voice USA.
