Sam Concepcion wins the week five (5) of the top-rating show “Your Face Sounds Familiar” by performing the hit song “Bananl na Asa, Santong Kabayo,” which was originally sung by Dong Abay of Yano.
The young singer earned raves from the jurors and studio audiences with his intense performance of the popular song. Judge Gary V. was so overwhelmed and impressed with Sam Concepcion’s performance.
Jed Madela, one of the show’s residence jurors praised Sam Concepcion for always absorbing the personality of the icon he is impersonating in the Twitter trending show on national TV.
Veteran singer and performer Sharon Cuneta was also impressed with what Sam Concepcion did during his performance.
Sharon Cuneta was quoted as saying “Sam, tonight, I understand, why they call you certain things. Artist to artist, I give you my respect, sincerely from the bottom of my heart. There are many talented people, not everyone is of the rare kind. You are,” Sharon Cuneta told Concepcion.
The 22-year-old Sam Concepcion’s performance earned him a total of 27 points and brought home the P100,000 cash prize, half of it will be donated to his chosen charity, the World Vision.
This is the second the time that Sam Concepcion wins the competition. He also won during the second week of the show with his impressive impersonation of Jason Derulo.
