Overseas Filipino Workers working in China showed their love to the Filipino players who fought for the country in the hotly-contested FIBA Asia 2015 by supplying their Gilas heroes with a taste of home. The OFW’s brought Filipino foods such as Tinola, Chicken-Pork Adobo and Sinigang.

The Bayanihan spirit of the Filipinos boosts not only the moral but the spirit of the Filipino athletes as they recover their usual strength and now ready to face their opponents in the Quarterfinals of FIBA Asia.

Gilas Pilipinas has played a total of six games since arriving in China last September 21, most of the players admitted that they want to have something not regularly served in the mess hall of Vaya Hotel, the athletes’ official residence. The OFW’s responded positively with their call and troop to their quarters to served the foods Gilas players were longing.

The Gilas Pilipinas squad will face Team Lebanon tonight at around 9:30 PM tonight, October 1, 2015. The OFW’s also promised that they will be supporting the Philippines on their fight against the unpredictable Team Lebanon.
