The country’s weather bureau, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration confirmed that the Tropical Depression Jenny which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is seen to enter the Philippines by Wednesday or Thursday.
Based upon the latest weather bulletin of PAGASA, Tropical Depression Jenny was last seen located 2,200 kilometers east of Luzon.
In an earlier interview with PAGASA forecaster forecaster Aldczar Aurelio on Tuesday, he said that the tropical depression will not directly affect the country and has a slim chance to make landfall.
Although Bagyong Jenny will not directly affect the Philippines, it will enhance the southwest monsoon or “Habagat” which will bring rains to most parts of the country.
Aside from the Tropical Depression, PAGASA also warned of the intertropical convergence zone which will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Davao Region, Northern Mindando, and Mindoro Province.
