Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil issued a public apology to fellow Kapamilya star Jessy Mendiola, after he caused a commotion during a flight to London last week. The fast-rising young actor made headlines earlier after various reports posted online that he was the main cause of a commotion during a flight because he was so drunk.
The 23-year-old actor spoke about the incident on TV Patrol report on September 11. The actor was quoted as saying “I had some drinks sa plane, I mean, more than I should be having, so as a result things got out of hand. At dahil po doon, (And because of that) I want to apologize to my brothers and sisters from Star Magic. I sincerely apologize to Jessy, to JM (De Guzman, Jessy’s boyfriend) if ever I offended him in any way, I’m sorry.
“Tao lang, nagkakamali, (We’re just humans who made a mistake), we all makes mistakes but you own up to it, you learn from it and you move forward.”
Enrique Gil who started to blossomed into one of the most popular young actor in the country when he was paired with Liza Soberano, also took the opportunity to thank Liza and their fans as he reassure them that everything is fine.
The report also noted that June Rufino, the manager of Luis Manzano also confirmed in a statement that a confrontation did occur but was fixed immediately.
According to some reports earlier, Enrique Gil was intoxicated on a plane ride from Manila to London on September 4 which caused the actor to harass actress Jessy Mendiola, prompting Luis Manzano to step in.
