Firefighters and medics hurriedly rushed into the Chinese Industrial District as loud explosion was heard then causing bright flames to light the sky and leaving massive smoke cloud.
The explosion was purportedly originated from a shipment of explosives on Wednesday night at China’s northern city of Tianjin, the cause was not yet confirmed as of posting.
Officials have already confirmed at least 17 people dead while leaving hundred more injured.
Meanwhile, surrounding buildings and infrastructures have collapsed due to the power of the explosion.
Authorities are now questioning senior managers of Ruiha Logistics, which owned the warehouse where the explosion took place.
Residents in the nearby district reported their windows to have been shattered by the strong explosion.
