Pangilinan, former national team head coach Chot Reyes, former national player Jimmy Alapag, Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and Filipino Hollywood actor Lou Diamond Phillips.

China, on the other hand, is relying on its heavyweight experience of mounting huge sporting events such as 2008 Summer Olympics and regular FIBA events.
