The controversial Grammy-winning star Chris Brown was finally allowed to leave the country on Friday after securing the necessary documents from the Bureau of Immigration. Chris Brown was held by the country’s immigration bureau after a case was filed against the singer.
The 26-year-old American singer was stranded for the past few days and even cancelled some of his international shows because of a case filed against him by the powerful religious group Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) or their affiliated company.
The INC-affiliated company filed a fraud complaint against Chris Brown seeking a million-dollar-plus refund after the former partner of Rihanna skipped a New Year concert last year which was held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
According to Bureau of Immigration spokesperson Elaine Tan, Chris Brown was granted an emigration clearance certificate and he boarded his private jet at around 6:00 PM on Friday night.
The chartered private plane of Chris Brown was previously seen inside a private hangar at the General Aviation Area near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4.
