Sec. Mar Roxas has not yet announced his candidacy in the upcoming 2016 polls, but Vice President Jejomar Binay has already attacked the interior secretary saying the only way he can win a presidential election is to cheat and buy votes.
“Kung ikaw ba si Roxas, kung ang lamang ng kalaban mo milya-milya na, bakit pursigido ka pang lumaban? May alas siguro na tinatago…ang mandaya at mamimili ng boto,” Binay said in a TV report.
Binay said this following recent survey results placing him on the second after Sen. Grace Poe, while Rocas ranked third being the choice 21 percent of the respondents.
The vice presidently recently became the guest speaker at the Philippine Public Health Association conference in Iloilo.
However, Maria Luisa Oreszca, national president of the PPHA, said that the presence of the vice president was not a welcome idea for Health Secretary Janette Garin, a known ally of President Benigno Aquinoo III.
“Bakit ko daw kinuha si vice president at bakit sa Iloilo pa. We invited the vice rpesident because he’s the vice president of the Philippines, nothing else. Wala kaming pulitika pulitika rito,” she noted.
With Binay’s jab, Roxas has then hit back.
“Natatawa na lang ako sa nababanggit ni Vice President Binay. Ang masasabi ko lang, ang isang sinungaling ay kapatid ng magnanakaw,” he said.
In the same conference, Binay has also hit back to what he called “American girl” which presumably referred to Sen. Grace Poe.
“May American girl na tatakbo pero hindi siya qualified,” he said.
Poe earlier said she had lready renounced her American citizenship in 2010 before she was appointed as chair of the Movie and television review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
