Jhyleanne Arwen Rington made a remarkable performance of the popular song “On My Own,” during the Saturday’s edition of the country’s top-rating singing competition for Kids, The Voice of the Philippines Kids Edition.

The young girl from Bulacan caught the attention of Coach Lea Salonga because of her choice of song as she bravely made her own rendition of the song from the popular musical “Les Misérables”, which once featured Broadway star Lea Salonga.
The 11-year-old aspiring singer revealed during the interview with The Voice Kids Ph, that she is a self-confessed Lea Salonga fan. Due to the powerful rendition of Jhyleanne Arwen Rington, all the three coaches turned their red chair for her.
“Very good song choice. I’ve heard someone sing that song a couple of times, and that person, when I heard her sing, well I saw it live, gave me goosebumps. Iniisip ko lang na kinakanta mo ‘yan, that song, takes a lot,” rocker Bamboo Mañalac told Rington.
“Napaka-brave mo ano. Brave song choice, na kantahin ‘yan, habang nakikinig si Coach Lea. Galing,” Sarah Geronimo added.
At the end of Rington’s performance, she finally decided to be part of her idol’s team, Team Lea Salonga as she became the 17th member of the group.
