The filing of certificates of candidacy is set in October, but Vice President Jejomar Binay has not yet announced who will be his running mate for the 2016 polls.
As the Liberal Party has also not yet announced its presidential and vice-presidential candidates, the United Nationalist
Alliance standard bearer has difficulty finding a running mate.
“Wala pa ho e,” Binay said on Wednesday.
Binay, who is in Bacolod City today, admitted that he has been encouraging former Labor Secretary Buenvenido Laguesma to be part of the CSB to which he said stands for “Certified Sipsip kay Binay.”
The Vice-president, who was linked to several alleged anomalies, also admitted that he find it hard to find a running mate after approaching several people.
However, he added that UNA’s search committee is ongoing.
Sen. Grace Poe and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte earlier thumbed down the idea of running with the vice president.
