The two brothers caught the attentions of TV viewers when they participated in the Blind Audition of the Voice of the Philippines Kids Edition Season 2 when they performed with an unusual instrument made by no less than their father. The Voice Ph Kids contestant Emman and Sandy Tanyo were armed with an unusual instrument but Coach Bamboo saw something from the kids who are worthy to become part of his team.
The 12-year-old Emman and his brother the 9-year-old Sandy performed their own version of the hit song “Just Give Me A Reason,” with a twist, they sang the song on their native language, Cebuano.
Emman and Sandy came to the auditions with their instrument, for Sandy he was using a ukelele while Emman used a diudiu, which is an improvised guitar made of wood and a cooking pot (kaserola).
The Tanyo brothers joined the talented group, Kamp Kawayan of Team Bamboo alongside Altair Aguelo, Atascha Mercado, Benedict Inciong, Christian Pasno, Lance Macalinao, Martina Luis, and Romeo Espino.
