The Dallas Mavericks where Parks spent some training during the pre-draft workout, invited Bobby Ray Parks Jr., to be part of their summer league squad.

The 22-year-old Ray Parks worked out with Utah Jazz, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, and Dallas Mavericks but none of them chose him to be part of their team.

According to player agent Charlie Dy, Ray Parks had a chance to be taken by the Mavericks at number 52, but Dallas ultimately went with Indian giant Satnam Singh, the 7-foot-2 Indian national who became the first Indian-born player to be drafted in the NBA.
