The Quezon City teenager kicked off Sunday’s episode of the top-rating singing competition in the country, “The Voice Kids Philippines,” who made all the judges pushed the red button and turned their chair around for Ataska Mercado, after just a few notes from the aspiring kid singer.

According to Broadway star and The Voice Kids coach, Lea Salonga, the young lovely teen’s music is worth listening. She was quoted as saying “You were worth listening to, and once we turned, ah, thank you, God, sakto sa pangalan mo. Salamat, salamat,” Lea Salonga told Mercado.

Coach Sarah Geronimo was also amazed with the voice of the teenager and considered the contestant as perfect the way she looks but Coach Bamboo noted that Ataska is just the one whom he needed to be part of his team, Kamp Kawayan.

Despite the fact that Ataska Mercado admitted that she is a fan of both Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo, she opted to be part of Team Bamboo. Ataska Mercado became the second member of Kamp Kawayan, along with 9-year-old Romeo Espino.
