Reynan Dal-Anay: Manobo Kid 3-Chair Turner of The Voice Kids (Video)

Reynan Dal-Anay became the second contestant to earn the coveted three-chair turn in the highly anticipated premiere of The Voice Kids Philippines” on Saturday night. The aspiring kid singer from the province of Bukidnon performed the song “Tagumpay Nating Lahat.|

The 11-year-old contestant hails from the Tigwahanon Manobos, the tribe can be found along the watershed of Tigwa River in San Fernando. During his performance he was wearing the traditional clothes of his tribe.

Right after the performance of Reynan Dal-Anay, he noted that he wants to showcase to the world his tribe in which he was really proud of. He was quoted as saying “Hindi dapat ikahiya kung ano ang mayroon tayo dahil iyon po ang makapag-aangat sa atin,” he stated.

The Manobo tribe member chose coach Lea Salonga as his mentor, the original singer of the song performed by Reynan. Lea Salonga picked Reynan as the second member of his team during the premiere of The Voice Kids.

Coach Sarah Geronimo and Coach Bamboo had one recruit, 11-year-old Kyle Echarri joined Team Sarah while 9-year-old Romeo Espino joined Team Bamboo.

“The Voice Kids,” which is hosted by Robi Domingo and Yeng Constatino, airs Saturdays at 6:45 p.m. and on Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
