Jeane Napoles Refused to Enter a Plea During Arraignment

The controversial daughter of Janet Lim Napole, Jeane Catherine Napoles refused to enter a plea on Wednesay during her arraignment before the Court of Tax Appeals and just noted that her gesture was due to the advice of her lawyers. The Philippine government has sued Jeane Napoles, for not filing income tax returns (ITR) involving P17.46 million.

Jeane Napoles Not Guilty

Jeane Napoles is the youngest daughter of the alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles. She also made headlines during the past years after her elegant display of her lavish lifestyle on social media.

During the arraignment, Jeane Napoles was quoted as saying “As advised by my counsel, I refuse to enter any plea,” Napoles told the justices of the CTA Third Division.

Due to the decision of Jeane Napoles of not entering her plea during the arraignment, the Court of Appeals compelled to enter a “Not Guilty” plea on her behalf.

The controversial daugher of Janet Lim Napoles, arrived at the Court of Appeals sporting a hooded black jacket and black pants as she was accompanied by her lawyers, they immediately left the courtroom after the arraignment and refused to be interviewed by reporters.

The Third Division granted the controversial socialite her motion to consolidate her ITR case and the tax evasion case-pending before the CTA First Division-as the subjects and the two cases are one and the same. Jeane Napoles has yet to be arraigned for her tax evasion case.
