Classical singer Gerphil Flores is now considered as one of the most popular singer in Asia after she made it to the grad finals of Asia’s Got Talent featuring the best talent in the region. Due to the popularity of Gerphil Flores, a video resurfaced online and immediately went viral which some netizens speculated as the reasons why the young singer from the Philippines did not stop singing classical music.

The decision of the two Pilipinas Got Talent judges, Kris Aquino and Ai Ai delas Alas were considered by some netizens as a slapped to the judges face. Despite the harsh comments and views of the judges, Gerphil Flores decided to continue what she is best for, singing classical music.
During the PGT semi-finals in 2010, Gerphil Flores who used the name Fame Flores was eliminated and the two judges Kris Aquino and Ai Ai delas Alas told Gerphil that her singing cannot be appreciated by the Filipino audience. The judges even advised that she should sing an age-appropriate song.
Although Gerphil was eliminated in the semi-finals of Pilipinas Got Talent in 2010, she told the judges that she will never stop singing classical songs because it is her talent.
