Speaking before the various business leaders, President Aquino believes that political mudslinging is now in full swing especially that 2016 presidential election is forth coming.
Earlier, the Aquino administration’s approval rating bagged down to its lowest following the tragedy of slain 44 SAF commandos in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
However, the president told members of the US Chamber of Commerce, US-ASEAN Business Council and other delegates that the unemployment rate of the country has dropped down under his term while 4.3 million Filipino families are benefiting from the government’s conditional cash transfer program.
He also added that the previously considered as “untouchable” politicians are already in jail facing various charges.
To cool down his speech, the president has even dig a good joke referring to the critics who are hurling all sorts of accusations against him.
“Kahit yung pagkatalo ni Manny Pacquiao, kasalanan ko rin!”, he said.
Aquino earlier thanked the Filipino boxer for serving an inspiration to every Filipino.
