Tropical Storm “Noul” (Bagyong Dodong) to Enter PAR on Thursday

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released their weather advisory No. 3 for the Tropical Storm “Noul” (International Name) which is currently located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). PAGASA noted that the Tropical Storm Noul will enter PAR on Thursday, May 8, 2015 and will be named as Bagyong Dodong.

According to PAGASA’s weather bulletin issued at 11:00 AM today, May 5, 2015, at around 10:00 today, Tropical Storm “Noul” was estimated on all available data at 1,470 km East of Surigao Del Norte.

Tropical Storm Noul has a maximums sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move West at 6 kph.

Once the weather disturbance enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), it will be called as Bagyong Dodong, the fourth typhoon that could enter the Philippines. The first three typhoons that hits the country are Bagyong Amang, Betty and Chedeng for the yeaer 2015.

PAGASA advised the general public and disaster risk reduction management councils concerned to monitor for the updates to be incorporated in the public weather forecast at 5:00 PM today and for the next advisory to be issued at 11:00 AM tomorrow.
