Sam Smith Reacts Over Being Called “Fat”

22-year-old soulful singer Sam Smith told Australia’s 60 Minutes in a segment that aired Sunday about his hurtful barbs in his weight.

Smith said that he is more comfortable being subjected to a homophobic slur than being criticized about his size.

 

“If someone called me fat, that affects me way more than someone calling me a f—–,” he told the Australian news program. “I think just because I’ve accepted that, if someone calls me a f—–, it’s like, I am gay and I’m proud to be gay so there’s no issues here.

“If someone calls you fat, that’s something I want to change, that’s something I can change.”, he added.

Two years ago, the crooner had been subjected to a homophobic issue but said he never had struggled dealing with his sexuality.

“I never had any confusion in myself,” he told the Aussie “60 Minutes.

However, Smith had been also known to issues with his weight.

Smith has dropped 14 pounds in just two weeks, a dramatic weight loss he told his Instagram followers last month where he also took credit for nutritionist Amelia Freer.

“Food has controlled me basically all my life.” He said in the segment noting his school days when he is not yet having a great time in music.
