El Gamma Penumbra paid tribute to millions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), as well as the 44 Special Action Forces (SAF) commandos or the Fallen 44 who were killed in Mamasapano massacre last January via Pinoy spirit shadow play on “It’s Showtime” on Thursday, April 9. 2015.
The Former Pilipinas Got Talent grand finalist and now Asia’s Got Talent semi-finalist danced unto the beat of Rocksteddy’s “Superhero.”
Just recently, the group which is known for their shadow play routine will going straight to the semifinals of Asia’s Got Talent after earning a “golden buzzer” from judge Anggun.
Asked what they felt after having a buzzer, “Napakasaya po kasi maire-represent namin ang Pilipinas,” the group said. “Mas masaya rin po dahil mayroon ‘din mga taga ibang nation na sumuporta sa grupo,” they added.

The buzzer beating performance left the crowd in awe especially the judges of the competition which include Grammy award-winning record producer David Foster, former Spice Girls member Melanie C, Taiwanese actor-singer Va Ness Wu and Indonesian superstar Anggun.
During their stint on the third season of Pilipinas Got Talent, the group was able to clinch as third placer. Maasinhon Trio on the other hand was named as the grand winner.
