Bill Gates Detailed Visits in Palawan with Family for a Vacation

The world’s richest man, American business magnate, inventor, philanthropist and Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his family was reportedly in Palawan for a brief vacation in Amanpulo Resort and wanted to check out an island in El Nido that Bill Gates wanted to invest in.

Bill Gates was with his wife Melinda Gates and two of three children as they spent three days in Palawan after they arrived via international private carrier the Global Express private plane.

According to a news article posted by the Philippine News Agency, as soon as the Gates family arrived in Palawan, they immediately boarded a privately-hired helicopter under the assistance of retired police superintendent Edgar Iglesia, who was taked to ensure the family’s security and safety while visiting the Philippines.

Based upon eyewitness accounts, the Gates family’s chopper flew to high-end island resort Amanpulo on Pamalican that is part of the Quiniluban Group of Cuyo islands and islets, north of the province of Palawan. The secluded island resort is one of the province most popular tourist destinations among well-off international celebrities and Hollywood stars.

Bill Gates and his family also visited the touristy town of El Nido to check the island, where the billionaire plans to invest with Filipino partners but no name of the said island was revealed to the press.

The family of the Microsof founder flew back to Manila on Wednesday and visited the International Rice Research Institute in Laguna, he is one of the investors of the US-Funded rice research facility.
