Microsoft’s Bill Gates Spotted In Los Baños, Laguna

Bill Gates, founder of tech giant Microsoft was reportedly spotted in Los Baños, Laguna.

According to the sources of Interaksyon.com, the richest man in the world visited the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) which is situated in UP Los Baños, Makiling Campus on Wednesday morning, April 8, 2015 and was in the training center for at least two hours to consult the latest rice research developments.

However, Microsoft Philippines nor the administration of IRRI have yet to confirm the visit of billionaire philanthropist to the country.

But sources from the aviation noted that a check registered to Bill Gates’ private jet with registration number N887WM was in the Philippines. The private jet reportedly flown all the way from Manila to Puerto Princesa, Palawan last April 4, 2014.

Bill Gates has been more actively hands-on with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation since he surrendered on the day-to-day operations of Microsoft Corporation, world’s leading software and hardware servicing company.

The foundation which supports innovations and anti-poverty programs around the world has invested $20 million for research purposes on the Golden Rice variety which was developed in International Rice Research Institute or IRRI.

According to IRRI, the genetically modified crop (GMO) Golden Rice variety is fortified with Vitamins and is eloped to fight malnutrition. However, some experts noted that the crop might produce unlikely environmental and humanistic effects.

Research is on going for them to know the advantage and effect of the GMO crop.
