Internationally-known acts the El Gamma Penumbra earned a semis slot in Asia’s Got Talent after they received a “Golden Buzzer” from Indonesian superstar Anggun during their audition performance on Asia’s biggest talent stage. El Gamma Penumbra was featured in the April 2 episode of the show, featuring the famous Filipino shadow play group.

Earning a “Golden Buzzer” in the competition means that the Filipino group will go straight to the finals of the competition. The former “Pilipinas Got Talent” (PGT) finalist performed a dance routine featuring some of the world’s most famous landmarks and tourist destinations.
The performance video of El Gamma Penumbra was already posted by the official YouTube account of Asia’s Got Talent and since then, it went viral online, garnering hundreds of thousands of views.
Right after the performance of the Filipino dance group, the members turned emotional as they got praises from the judges of the show which include Anggun, former Spice Girl Melanie C, 16-time Grammy winner David Foster and Taiwanese-Americn pop idol Vanness Wu.
The group El Gamma Penumbra made national headlines when they joined the third season of Pilipinas Got Talent in 2011 and made it to the grand finals of the competition, but failed to win the title.
