“Batang Quiapo” of Coco Martin becomes the first show to reach 1 million online viewers.
ABS-CBN’s hit primetime series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” of Coco Martin has surpassed the 1 million mark in terms of online viewership.
Dreamscape Entertainment announced on Friday that the “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” has made a new record in terms of online viewership. In a post, they announced, “THIS JUST IN: FPJ’s Batang Quiapo has breached million mark with a total of 1,004,554 peak concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live on Youtube!”
This was in the episode where Tanggol (Coco Martin), David (McCoy de Leon), Rigor (John Estrada), and Ramon (Christopher de Leon) had a confrontation. In the same episode, Tanggol and Ramon finally know the truth about their relationship as Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) reveals the truth about their past.
This is the fourth night that the series recorded over 800,000 online viewers.
Many people online were blown away as the series recorded over one million views online. As of this writing, its all-time high in peak accumulated concurrent viewers from Facebook and YouTube was more than 1,051,266.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, Coco talked about the new characters of the series. Andrea Brillantes, Jake Cuenca, Angel Aquino, Juan Rodrigo, Paolo Paraiso, Gillian Vicencio, Shamaine Buencamino, and veteran stars Michael de Mesa, Albert Martinez, Dante Rivero, Chanda Romero, and Celia Rodriguez are among the new Batang Quiapo cast members.
He expressed how overwhelmed he felt by the opportunity to be working with some of the icons of the entertainment industry.
“Actually overwhelming para sa akin kasi imagine niyo na makasama kami, lahat kami na mga baguhang artista, makasama namin ang mga veteran actors, mga icons sa industry–napakasarap,” he said.
The series at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC and TFC.
