One of the most popular mascot in the country, the Jollibee mascot became one of the trending topics online during the Holy Week break as a “skinny” statue of the popular Pinoy fast food chain went viral online and most netizens were abuzz with the unique figure.

Aside from the viral photo of the “skinny Jollibee,” the hashtag, “#PrayForJollibee” became a trending topic, with most netizens offering their silly speculations about the mascot’s “weight loss.”

Some of the guesses ranged from addiction to life-threatening diseases, but the term pray for Jollibee became the dominant topic in the online world especially among Filipino fans and followers of the fast food chain.

According to some online news portal, it isn’t clear who are the original source of the photo and whether the statue is real or its “skinny” appearance id due to image manipulation.

Jollibee is considered as one of the most popular fast food chain that originated from the Philippines and dominated the fast food market in the country. The fast food chain was able to compete against the giants of the fast food industry such as the internationally known McDonalds chain of restaurants.

  1. impossible to have a skinny jollibee as the Filipino population is addicted to fried chicken and rice… they know no diversity in their diet and this is no doubt contributing to the early death rate in the country due to high cholesterol and heart issues related to that.
