Kapamilya actress and TV host Iza Calzado joined the casts of the international movie “Manila Showdown,” the directorial debut of Filipino-American Hollywood star and “Iron Chef” host Mark Dacascos. The movie features international casts which also stars Fil-Am Tia Carrrere and Casper Van Dien.
The 32-year-old Iza Calzado posted a photo of her with Tia Carrer, Van Dien and Dacascos, along with movie producer and Russian bodybuilding champion Alexander Nevsky.
Iza Calzado also added the following caption “So cool to be working with these guys,” Calzado wrote in the caption. “Fun fun set!”
In a news report posted by martial arts website Kung Fu Kingdom, Marc Dacascos will also appear in the highly anticipated movie which will feature some of the world’s most popular martial arts artists such as Don “The Dragon” Wilson, Olivier Gruner, Cynthia Rothrock, Matthias Hues and Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa.
Aside from Iza Calzado, other notable stars who will be showcased her acting skills in the movie is the comebacking Filipino actress Anjanette Abayari who announced earlier she will be part of the movie “Showdown in Manila.”
The movie will be the second internationally-released film of Iza Calzado, after the huge success of her first international movie in 2008. Iza Calzado appeared in the American horror movie “The Echo” which was a remake of the Filipino film “Sigaw” for director Yam Laranas, wherein Iza reprised her role from the original.
