The graduation ceremony for the Academic Year 2014-2015 is fast approaching so the Department of Education (DepEd) released their official theme for this year’s graduation. DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro also released his graduation message for the graduating class of 2015. The theme for the 2015 graduation according to DepEd is, “Saktong Buhay: Sa De-Kalidad na Edukasyong Pinanday.”
According to DepEd, the graduation theme for the year 2015 “calls to mind the importance of education as we build the foundations of our dreams.”
DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro also released his 2015 graduation message to graduating students reminding them to remember the fallen and living heroes who worked hard to ensure that Filipinos receive proper education. The statement was an indirect reference to the 44 slain members of the PNP Special Action Forces, whom the secretary earlier referred to as members of the DepEd family.
The DepEd also urged the graduating students to keep in mind the value of the education they received in school and noted that his year’s graduation theme stresses the power of education in unlocking doors of opportunity and in enabling us to pave the path to a dignified and productive life.
DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro was quoted as saying “Let your triumphs be an inspiration for other people; let your losses serve as your motivation to strive for excellence. Let all these collective experiences inspire hope in us to seek greater heights and aspire for a higher purpose,” he added.
