Veteran singer and member of the famous Alejandro clan, Nino Alejandro was eliminated from The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 after he performed the song popularized by Foreigner titled “I Wanna Know What Love Is,” which the singer dedicated to his wife. Nino Alejandro was eliminated from the country’s top-rating singing competition, The Voice PH, after the announcement of voting results on Sunday, February 15, 2015.

Right after the performance of Nino Alejandro, Coach Sarah Geronimo applauded her performance even noting that when you discussed about the surname “Alejandro” there’s only one thing that will go along the name it’s “excellence.”
The Pop Star, Sarah Geronimo was quoted as saying “Grabe, intense! Alam niyo, Sir Nino, pagka binanggit talaga ang apelyidong ‘Alejandro’ sa Philippine music industry, talagang nakakabit diyan ang salitang ‘excellence,’ at talagang excellence ang napapakita niyo every time. Congratulations po,” Sarah Geronimo told Alejandro.
The coach of Nino Alejandrao, Coach Lea Salonga also praised him for being able to move out of the “shadows” hanging over him. Although Coach Lea praised Alejandro’s performance, the international broadway star, Lea Salonga chose to save Lea Patricio who will move on to the next round of the competition, the semi-finals of The Voice of the Philippines.
Lea Patricio and Timmy Pavino, the top vote-getter during the live performance on Sunday, will move on to the next round of the competition, which will start next week featuring the Top Two artists from the four respective teams.
