President Benigno Simeon Aquino III visited the wake of the fallen 44 PNP-SAF operatives who were killed during the Mamasapano incident. During the speech of the commander-in-chief, he asks questions to the rest of the PNP-SAF operatives who were present but the President only got a silent response from the SAF troopers.

During the speech of President Aquino last week he asks the elite PNP-SAF officers if they have something to tell the President but none of them responded although the President asked the SAF troopers multiple times.
The speech of President Aquino also got negative comments from netizens who noted that the silent of police officers was due to the on-going sentiments of the PNP-SAF who felt that they were betrayed by the government while doing their duties as keepers of peace.
President Aquino is currently facing perhaps his worst public criticisms so far as the head of state, it took him four days after the Mamasapano bloodbath to address the nation. When he face the nation, he spent most of his time explaining why the PNP-SAF had to take down Malaysian terrorist Marwin but failed to delve much on why the elite force suffered heavy losses during the operation.
The PNP-SAF and the Filipino public were also dismayed when the President did not attend the arrival honors of the 44 fallen PNP-SAF operatives and prioritize his commitments to attend the Mitsubishi event in Laguna.
