Bagyong Amang Storm Signals & Hourly Update (January 17, 2015)

The first tropical storm that hits the country, Bagyong Amang became stronger as it approaches Eastern Samar, the place which is near to one of Pope Francis’ itineraries, as the typhoon is expected to hit the area today, January 17, 2015. PAGASA released the storm signals and hourly update of Bagyong Amang.

As of 5:00 AM today, Bagyong Amang was estimated at 220 kilometers east southeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar and may hit the city this afternoon.

The storm was stronger right now packing maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers near the center and gustiness of up to 130 kph. Public Storm Warning Signal was already increased to No. 2.
