The kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo and Kim Chiu has transformed into Disney Princesses as Rapunzel and Mulan, respectively. The official Facebook page of Disney Channel Asia posted a video of them during the pictorial on January 1, 2015.
The one-minute video features Sarah Geronimo as Rapunzel and was dubbed as “Fearless Princess”, while Kim Chiu as Mulan and was dubbed as the “Determined Princess.” Other Disney princesses were also shown on the video.
Kim Chiu, who formerly stars on the top-rating series “Ikaw Lamang,” said that becoming one of the famous Disney Princess is her childhood dream and she is very excited for the project.
“Achievement ko siya sa buhay, childhood dream ko maging isa sa mga Disney Princess! Nung in-offer sa akin, nakakatuwa na nakakaiyak. ‘Totoo ba na gagawin niyo akong Mulan?'” she said.
Meanwhile, The Voice of the Philippines coach Sarah Geronimo was recently chosen also to interpret the famous Disney song “The Glow,” which was originally popularized by Shannon Shaunders. The song debuted in 2011 to introduce the character of Rapunzel from the animated film “Tangled.”
Mulan was previously portrayed also by the international Broadway singer, Lea Salonga. She also provided the singing voices of Mulan and Jasmine in the 1992 film “Aladdin” which earned her a recognition as one of Disney Legends.
