Kapuso stars Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes made worldwide headlines not only for their highly publicized wedding but because of the giant wedding cakes that made worldwide headlines and featured on various international news media organization. The giant wedding cake measures 12 feet and weighs 120 kilogram from local fastfood giant Goldilocks in which Dingdong Dantes endorsed.

The wedding cake of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes caugth the attention of foreign news outlets reportedly decorated with Swarovski cystal and was 3-D mapped with projected CG effects.

ABC news program “World News Now,” in the United States featured the wedding cake in its “Mix” segment. The anchor of the news program even noted that the giant wedding cake may have beaten the Guinness record set in New England, USA, during the year 2004.

The official website of ABC News also run a story on the cake on its website, and used a viral photo of the human-sized cake being transported by several men. The same photo was also featured in a story run by one of the biggest website in the United Kingdom, the Mirror.

According to various reports, the three biggest wedding cakes ever produced were made for presentation purposes only, and not for an actual wedding, meaning Marian Rivera’s cake could make it Guinness World Record for an actual world’s largest wedding cake ever used in a celebration of marriage.

The 30-year-old Marian Rivera and the 34-year old Dingdong Dantes had been a couple for over five years and got married on December 30, 2014 in a wedding ceremony held at Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Quezon City and was dubbed by the media as the 2014 “Royal Wedding.”
