Kapamilya actress and former “Legal Wife” star Angel Locsin is hoping to work with veteran actress and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos in the upcoming “Darna” movie.

Speaking with Push, Angel Locsin said that it would be an honor to work with Vilma Santos, the mother of her boyfriend Luis Manzano, on the highly anticipated remake of “Darna.”
“Ako umaasa ako kasi nakita ko ‘yung interview ni tita (Vilma) na if ever nga daw na magawa namin ‘yung Darna willing siya mag-cameo. Di ba napakalaking bagay ‘yun di ba? Kasi siya naman talaga ‘yung Darna tapos makasama ko pa siya sa Darna, siguro napaka-surreal ng pakiramdam,” she said.
Angel Locsin first portrayed the iconic super heroine in the TV adaptation GMA series, while Vilma Santos first portrayed the role of “Darna” in the 1980 film.
But before the “Darna” film, Angel Locsin and Vilma Santos will work first for a Mother’s Day movie which will be released next year. According to the 29-year-old actress, it will be directed by Olivia M. Lamasan.
“‘Yung isang pelikula yung pang Mother’s Day sobrang excited ako, nag-usap na kami ni Inang (director Olivia Lamasan) sa mga characters, nagulat nga siya eh kasi buong-buo ko na daw,” she said.
Angel Locsin shared also that she will not be doing TV series now because she will focus on doing movies. She was last seen in the top-rating series “The Legal Wife” with Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales.
