Dan Palami, the team manager of the Philippine Azkals is calling on the attention of Pinoy football fans as the country will take on Southeast Asian powerhouse Thailand this coming Saturday, December 6, 2014, in the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup semi-finals which will be hosted by the Philippines.
The Azkals vs. Thailand game will be held at the historic Rizal Memorial Stadium and the team manager of the Philippine team, Dan Palami, took to Twitter and rally for support of the Filipino fans.
The team manager was quoted as saying “We badly need our 12th man on December 6,” Palami wrote on Twitter. He added further that “Football fans, let’s rally behind the big flag, with drums and chants, cheering the Azkals on!” he added.
The Philippine Azkals qualified to the semis of the AFF Suzuki Cup for the third consecutive time since their historic 2010 finish wherein they upset the depending champion, Vietnam but eventually defeated by Indonesia in the semis.
In the Philippines game against Thailand, the Azkals is considered as the underdogs, the national football team of the Philippines has not beaten in 14 tries. The last time that the Azkals face Thailand, they were defeated with 3-nil in scorecard.
The AFF Suzuki Cup Semi-finals second leg will be played at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on December 10, 2014.
