Suspension of Classes on December 4 by DepEd & LGU Due to Hagupit (Bagyong Ruby) (Updated)

The Department of Education (DepEd) and various Local Government Units (LGU’s) already declared suspension of classes in December 4, 2014 or even until the weather disturbance typhoon Hagupit (Bagyong Ruby) subsides. The suspension of classes (Walang Pasok), will be implemented by the DedEd and various LGU’s after PAGASA forecasts that typhoon Hagupit will enter the Philippines on Thursday.

The National government through the National Risk Reduction and Management Council and PAGASA already listed a total of 56 areas including Metro Manila that are deemed critical due to tropical cyclone Hagupit.

Listed below are the schools and LGU’s that already declared suspension of classes due to Bagyong Ruby which is forecast to hit the Eastern portion of the Visayas first before moving on to Central and Westen Visayas afterwards.

Here’s the Schools or LGUs that Issued Suspension of Classes:

Cebu Province – No Classes in All Levels (Public & Private)

Palompon, Leyte – Classes suspended in all levels (Public & Private)

Biliran: Culaba town Mayor Lorenzo Reveldez declared class suspension at all levels on Friday, Dec. 5

Biliran: NSU vice president for administration Nenita Sereno said classes in all levels of the university will be suspended Dec. 4 and 5

Biliran: Almeria town mayor Dominador Agahan declared classes suspended at all levels on Dec. 5, Friday

Biliran: Naval town mayor Susan Parilla declared no classes at levels on Dec. 4 and 5

Biliran: Biliran town Mayor Grace Casil suspended classes in all levels on Dec. 4 and 5

Biliran: Cabucgayan Mayor Gemma Adobo declared a suspension of classes at all levels on Dec. 4 and 5.
