“Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” Official Trailer Released

The official and full trailer of the upcoming biopic “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo,” starring Robin Padilla was already released online. The movie is part of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.

In the nearly two-minute video, one of the popular young teen stars today Daniel Padilla was seen narrating the life of the hero Andres Bonifacio, portrayed by his uncle, Robin Padilla.

Robin Padilla said in his previous interviews that Daniel Padilla was added in the cast to make the movie more accessible to the youth.”Siya ang pangkumpleto kasi ng rekado… Siya ang nagre-represent ng mga kabataan na gusto naming marating ang mensaheng ito,” he said.

The upcoming movie, which also stars Vina Morales, Eddie Garcia, Jericho Rosales and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Joem Bascon, Ping Medina, Isko Moreno and LJ reyes is directed by Enzo Williams.

Meanhwhile, Robin Padilla earlier revealed also that the film production alone cost a whooping P90 million, which does not include the promotion budget.

“Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” will compete with other MMFF entries which also include “My Big Bossing,” “English Only, Please,” Shake Rattle & Roll 14,” “Feng Shui 2” and “Praybeyt Benjamin.”

MMFF is an annual film festival of locally produced films which will run from December 25 until the first week of January in the following year. It is led by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino.
