Vice Ganda To Undergo Operation Next Year

The phenomenal comedian and box-office actor Vice Ganda is set to undergo in an operation next year in January to remove a polyp in his throat, which affected his vocal cords.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on the sidelines of PMPC Star Awards held on Sunday, the kapamilya star aid that he postponed the operation this year because he is still finishing the movie “The Amazing Praybeyt  Benjamin” for this year’s the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

“Sa ngayon okay naman pero kailangan kong operahan sa January kasi hindi natanggal ‘yung polyps ko eh. Hindi ako pwede magpaopera ngayon kasi ginagawa ko pa ‘yung (‘The Amazing Praybeyt) Benjamin.’ Kailangan ko mag-total voice rest after nun (operation),” he said.

Aside from movie, Vice Ganda is currently hosting also the hit noon-time show, “It’s Showtime.” He is also working for the Sunday entertainment talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice.”

The 38-year-old comedian also said that he is just praying that God will give him enough strength to go on with his work.  “Idinadaan ko na lang sa dasal na wag mawala yung katinuan ng utak ko kasi minsan nakakapagod din yung stress at pressure ng lahat pero mas nangingibabaw yung nag-e-enjoy pa ako,” he added.

“The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin,” which also stars James “Bimby” Yap, Alex Gonzaga and Richard Yap, will open in theaters nationwide on December 25, 2014. It is directed by Wenn V. Deramas, who also directed the first installment of the film, “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin.”
