Kapamilya actor and former PBB winner, Ejay Falcon will portray the role of an inmate in a special Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) episode as part of the station’s tribute to the victims and resiliency of Filipinos affected by the super typhoon Yolanda that hits most areas of the Visayas region. Ejay Falcon will play the role of Jomar, who did his best for his family when the typhoon struck the Province of Leyte.
The 24-year-old Ejay Falcon will portray the role as one of the prisoners who escaped right after the devastation brought about by super typhoon Yolanda. Jomar was one of the prisoners who escaped when one of the prison gates collapsed because of the super typhoon.
The top-rating and longest-running drama anthology in Philippine television, MMK, will showcased the special Yolanda Episode this coming Saturday, November 15, 2014. Ejay Falcon or Jomar in the MMK episode was jailed for more than five years because of petty crime, but instead of escaping, he was one of the prisoners who returned to jail and made national headlines.
During the incident, right after Yolanda and the prisoners escaped, Jomar immediately though of his family’s safety, he did his best to search and rescue them. Upon reaching their home, Jomar, had to face his worst nightmare: his mother and three siblings were killed by the super typhoon.
Despite Jomar’s mourning, he chose to rebuild their house and made ways to give his beloved family members a decent funeral, after his family were laid to rest, Jomar did not take advantage, instead he decided to do the right thing and surrendered himself back to prison.
The special MMK episode will also feature JB Agustin, Sharmaine Arnaiz, Lito Pimentel, Art Acuña, Boom Labrusca, Erin Ocampo, Casey da Silva, Veyda Inoval, Patricia Coma, Angelou Adlao Alayao, Jhiz Deocareza, Sofia Millares, Althea Guanzon, Nico Antonio, Roy Requejo, Gerard Acao, and Michael Roy Jornales. It is under the direction of Garry Fernando and written by Joan Habana and Arah Jell Badayos.
