The Philippine national government through the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Rehabilitation and Recovery launched an official music video titled “We Will Rise Again” as part of the government’s tribute to Filipinos’ resilience and spirit following the wrath of super typhoon Yolanda.

The Yolanda Anniversary Music Video was performed by Ms. Raki Vega and composed by Mr. Jude Gitamondoc. The music video which was posted online through the world’s largest video-sharing site has already garnered more than 15,000 views and still counting.
Based upon the music video, the national government paid tribute to the Filipino resilience and spirit, and honor every Filipinos affected by the calamity, and recognize the people and the organization who have selflessly provided assistance in the Yolanda Rehabilitation and Recovery efforts.
The music video was also launched simultaneously in various television stations and cinemas all over the country last November 6, 2014 at exactly 11:30 AM. Aside from online and TV launched, all government agencies, Cinemas, Development partners, and private sectors shared the link of the music video in their official websites and other social media platforms.
Aside from highlighting the Filipino Bayanihan spirits, the video also serves as a reminder that regardless of the magnitude of the devastation, the Filipinos will strive hard to rebuild their communities and ensure that all the assistance extended by the government partners will not go to waste.
