Toni Gonzaga Explained Why Paul Soriano Won’t Direct Her Concert

TV host Toni Gonzaga revealed that her boyfriend Paul Soriano was really the first choice to direct her first major solo concert this October 3, 2014. But in some instances, Soriano have to back out.

According to Toni, the reason why he backed out was because he will be making a movie. After which, he had told Toni that there would be a possibility that he can’t focus much on directing the concert because of his other commitment.

“Kaya lang when I talked to Paul about it eh gagawa siya ng movie. Sabi niya, ‘Tin, baka hindi ko mabigyan ng focus ‘yung concert mo because I have to finish a movie,'” Toni explained on her interview in Kris TV aired Thursday, September 25, 2014.

Soriano is directing the biopic of “Kid Kilafu.” It tells about the story of the rise of the Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao when he was just a normal kid in General Santos.

With it, Toni revealed some of the details of the movie. Based on her, it was Alessandra de Rossi who will play the role of young Dionisia Pacquiao. The young boxing trainer of Pacquiao will be portrayed by the award winning actor, Cesar Montano.

She also said that they are marketing the said movie not just in the country but also abroad. With it, he considered himself very busy. However, he suggested Paolo Valenciano to do the directing instead of him.

Paolo recently directed the concert of his father Gary Valenciano and it was considered as Concert of the Year at the recent Star Awards for Music.

Talking about her concert, Toni said that it had a good concept. After all, she said that she is very confident with the material.
