“The Voice of the Philippines” winner Mitoy Yonting finally had his album. According to him, having an album is such n overwhelming experience. His album is is entitled “Hanggang Wakas.” He had actually been raring this album for almost 30 years.
Part of his album is a song sung by him and his coach Lea Salonga on a classic song entitled “Somewhere.” It includes 12 songs including his carrier single entitled Pinaikot-Ikot. 3 of his original compositions are also included in his album. 45-year-old Mitoy is now part of the sitcom entitled “Home Sweetie Home” with Toni Gonzaga and John Lloyd Cruz. He have also started on booking more shows and gigs. At the moment, Mitoy said that he could not ask anything more in his career. He just said that he is only wishing to live longer so that he can continue on sharing his talent to people.
He also said that he is very much open on trying other fields aside from singing.
Based on him, he believes that staying grounded is one of the best trait in order for somebody to maintain whatever career he is having at the moment. He always wants to stay humble.“I don’t allow my achievements to go to my head,” he said. “My friends keep me humble,” he said.
He also said that his success just come in the right time considering that if he have been in the industry when he was young, he might end up on spending his money on not that important things. “If I won as a teenager, I would probably end up wasting it,” he said.
He already had lose hope on reaching him dream, but having an album at last is actually a great answer for him. He never thought that his dreams can still come true over the years. What he had learned is to be patient.
