Daniel Matsunaga Wants To Become A Naturalized Filipino

The Brazilian-Japanese model Daniel Matsunaga, who was recently named as the Big Winner of the hit reality TV series “Pinoy Big Brother: All In”, said that he wants to become a naturalized Filipino.

In an interview with “Tapatan Ni Tunying” to be aired on Thursday September 4, 2014, Daniel Matsunaga said that his family plans to move in the Philippines, adding that he is just waiting for his Japanese father to retire from his work.

“I’m planning to bring my whole family here. I want to stay here for the rest of my life. I’m just waiting for my father to retire from his job. He said maybe after two years,” he said.

His father is currently based in Brazil with his brother while his Brazilian mother and sister Vanessa Matsunaga recently flew to the country to stay with the upcoming kapamilya actor.

Daniel Matsunga will be working for two movies soon. Aside from film projects, the 25-year-old model is hoping also to be part of Philippine football team Azkals.

“I’ll try to enroll in Azkals. I really want to be part of it. Every opportunity that God has given me in the Philippines is amazing. I never had this in my entire life so I really love this country,” he said.

Although he doesn’t have a Filipino blood, he still considers himself as a Filipino citizen. Daniel Matsunaga has been staying in the country for five years already.
