The Police authorities handling the case of one of the country’s most popular race car driver Enzo Pastor announced on Wednesday, August 27, that the mastermind and his hired gunman, allegedly a Pasay City policeman have been arrested.
According to Senior Inspector Maricar Taqueban, public information chief of the Quezon City Police District, confirmed the arrest of the suspects and noted that they will be presented to the media.
Based upon various radio report, the suspect of the Enzo Pastor’s slay case was identified as Police Officer 2 (PO2) Edgar Angel, who already admitted to the authorities that he was paid P100,000 to ambush Enzo Pastor.
Although the suspect behind Enzo Pastor’s killing was already identified by the media, the mastermind’s name who is a businessman was not revealed as of the moment.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) also noted during an interview with Inquirer, that the father of Enzo Pastor, filed a case against the businessman and the police suspect.
The killing of Enzo Pastor was considered by national media as one of the most sensation crime during the past few months, the racing champion was shot “11 times” by a masked gunman on a motorcycle at a Quezon City Intersection last June 12.
Mayor Rodrigo Duterte of Davao City also announced on July that he will offer a P1-million bounty for the capture of the assailants and revealed to the media that the father of Enzo Pastor is one of his closest friend.
Radio reports also said the victim’s father Tom Pastor went to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) to file cases against the businessman and the police.
