Actually, the main goal of this “pushcart classroom” is to give a free education to those who can’t afford to get their education in schools. They are also known as the out of school youth.

Meanwhile, the said donated two story building was officially opened Friday, August 15, 2014 at Peñaflorida’s Dynamic Teen Co. (DTC) in Cavite City. It is then called as the Bright red learning center. It somehow serves as a learning facility kids aging 11 to 17  from grade 7 to 9.

According to Peñaflorida, many of the street children and the out of school youth were encouraged to study again by the team. He also said that this two story building is so much different to the old pushcart classroom they have before. The students can feel the real feeling when they are actually studying in a real classroom. It also has sturdy walls which are freshly painted and a roof that can protect them on the heat of the sunlight or when there is rain.

This is also easier for the team to teach compared to before. Thanks to the Universal Robina Corp. (URC) who have donated this two story building. This is indeed a great help and a great start of a better education for the out of school youth as well as for those who are considered as street kids.

It is also equipped with air conditioned office, white boards, books and shelves and also a clean toilet. Students also have their own desks.

Through this, number of students had increased to 62 this year. Though Peñaflorida admits that DTC still depends on donations and grants.

May this donation could mean more students that will benefit and experience the thing called education. Until such time that there’s no more out of youth kids in the Philippines.
