Kapuso Network’s superstars Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera is now officially engaged after Dingdong Dantes proposed to Marian Rivera on GMA-7’s dace show “Marian” on Sautrday, August 9, 2014. The engagement video of Dingdong and Marian went viral online as the video of the proposal was posted on YouTube garnering hundreds of thousands of views.

The proposal of Dingdong Dantes to Marian Rivera happened during the birthday party celebration of the Kapuso actress which was shown live on national TV. The engagement became the hottest trending topics on various social media sites not only the country but also worldwide.
Before the proposal of Dingdong Dantes to his long-time girlfriend Marian Rivera, who will celebrate his birthday on August 12, Dingdong took the stage while they show photos of them together on the big screen. After the photo presentation, Dingdong also showed a video of him and Marian with his family during his birthday in Macau in 2012.
The 34-year-old Dingdong Dantes admitted on live TV that during those times particularly on 2012, he was supposed to do something but he could not find the courage to do it, but not right now wherein he is really ready for his plans with his girlfriend Marian.
Dingdong was quoted as saying “Sa tingin ko mas magiging espesyal siya ngayon dahil ngayon, kaharap mo na ang pamilya mo. At andito ang mga taong nagmamahal sa atin.” he said. Dingdong added further that “Isa lang ang gusto kong mangyari. Gusto kong ipagsigawan sa buong mundo kung gaano kita kamahal. Like what I said, I want to do it right this time,” Dingdong stated.
The popular Kapuso actor knelt in front of the 29-year-old Marian Rivera and stated, “Yan, whenever I pray, tuwing nagdarasal ako, alam mo, ito ang isa kong parating hinihiling—na sana bigyan Niya ako ng makakasama ko sa kalokohan, sa kalungkutan, sa kasiyahan. Isang taong makakasama kong mangarap,” he said.
Dingdong added further that “Isang taong alam kong ibibgay ko ang buong buhay ko sa kanya. And right now, wala na akong mahihiling pang iba. There’s nothing else that I want and could ask for but settle down and have a family.” he said.
The Kapuso actor then brought out a ring and said: I offer you this gift on your birthday, something that’s beyond any material thing or tangible one. But I offer you myself, my love.” He asked, “Today, and all the days of my life, so please, Marian… will you be my wife?”
Dingdong then embraced Marian and announced on national TV: “Ladies and gentlemen, I proudly present to you my fiancee. The birthday girl in her last dance with me before we become one—Marian Gracia, the soon to be Marian Gracia Dantes,” the actor proudly announced.
