Will Franklin Drilon Run For Vice President in 2016

On his interview in ANC, Senate President Franklin Drilon confirmed that he won’t be running for Vice President in the 2016 National Election.

When he was asked if he is interested to run for higher positions in the next election, he just say that he was not that interested. He also said that he is not seeking for vice presidency in the next election.

Drilon just joke that he run before he came in for an interview. This is to emphasize that he is not that much interested to run for any higher position in 2016.

However, he confirmed that he will reconsider for re-election in the 2016 national election.

According to him, “At this point, if the people will still give me the mandate, I would run for reelection in 2016.”

Meanwhile, Drilon just recently pushed the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to make the possible the wish of the overseas Filipino workers. They wished to have an online registration and online voting under the Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) Act of 2003. In addition, he was the principal author if this said Act.

well, 2016 is actually two years ahead. If there are any possibilities or plans of the leaders in this country, it will just be confirmed months before the election.

2016 election

As of this moment, it’s still hard to determine the possible candidates for higher position in the next election. It’s still to early for that thing. We just need to wait for its right time.
