The singer-dancer Gab Valenciano, dubbed as “Super Selfie King”, is set to release four more “Super Selfie” videos in the coming months after he recently released a video with the 90’s dance group Manoeuvers.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Gab Valenciano said that he will feature his father again “Mr. Pure Energy” Gary Valenciano in his next video which he described as “super huge”. He also said that he has plans to do “super selfie” with his wife-to-be Tricia Centenera.
Although most of his videos became an internet hits, the 26-year-old performer admitted that his fame is only temporary and he doesn’t want to be remembered by the people because of his videos.
“The super selfie brand I love it, it’s fun, but it’s not gonna last forever. It’s a fad and I didn’t want my three minutes of fame to be a fad. I don’t want that to be my legacy. I don’t want the people to remember me as ‘the super selfie guy'” he said.
Gab Valenciano said that his other dreams were bigger than the selfie videos, citing the same reasons why he backed out from the popular reality talent show “America’s Got Talent” earlier on the month of July.
Gab Valenciano said in his past interviews that he wanted to work for “more permanent opportunities” rather relying on his videos. He noted that he wanted to focus on his long-term goals which includes putting up a media company.
